Can Joann
I don’t know much about Can Joann. Their guitarist, Ryan Benjamin emailed me with a nice note and a couple of tracks. I have to say I am impressed. I’ve really been waiting for the next DIY band to come on the scene and give me something to look forward to. Can Joann is that band.
Can Joann is from Chapel Hill / Raleigh, North Carolina (yes, North Carolina is the new Montreal for upcoming artists). They made the scene with an EP in 2005 and have since recorded a full length entitled “Hurt People Hurt People.” They’re getting a lot of press these days, so a tour can’t be far away. Look for them coming to your area soon.

Goodness, Arctic monkeys on american indie drugs (lady luck): DIY done right? The tracks you listed are worth investigating ‘Hurt people hurt people’. But, and that is is just my fine perception :-), fingerlickinggoodsounds these days make me realize not everything is tapes and tapes, nor flaming (as in (arcade) fire) lips.
